Technical details

Why is this important?

The necessity of recycling batteries is underscored by the staggering volume in Europe alone, which requires the recycling of 700,000 tonnes of electric batteries annually. Thermal batteries face a similar volume. These complex items pose a dual challenge as dangerous products and valuable reusable resources. Efficient recycling solutions are critical to managing this hazardous waste and reclaiming valuable materials.

Why does this project need financial support?

Financial backing is essential for Be Energy to maintain a cost-competitive process. Carbon credits play a pivotal role in achieving this, ensuring the viability of their environmentally beneficial operations. This project is the best in Europe in terms of impact and aims to double its capacity within five years thanks to carbon credits.

What is unique with this project?

First, Be Energy has developed a unique technology used by over 50 partners worldwide. There are only four players in the world with such good performance in terms of impact (two in South Korea, one in the USA). Be Energy can be a real European pride! Additionally, all the testing machines developed and used by Be Energy are adapted for disabled people, facilitating their access to work. Overall, this is a strong carbon, circular, and social project!
